The Roundup: Ball Dresses for 2015 (& what hair and makeup to wear with them!)

1. Like a Lady

Demure and timeless, yet modern with the right hair, makeup and accessories. Bonus: This is an outfit your mother will love.

Hair and Makeup: A braided bun for something fun, or a relaxed french roll for a touch of elegance. For your makeup, keep it light, this look is all about youth and femininty. If you want a bit of drama, go for a classic red lip.

2. Vampish Vixen

Definitely a dress to impress. This one won't go unnoticed.

Hair and Makeup: Vintage waves, sweep them to the side, or keep them softly around your face. Makeup should be a little more subtle, let the dress do the talking and don't get carried away. A 'just bitten' lip and muted smokey eye will do the trick.

3. Pretty in Pink

Keep it sweet in this short number, opting against floor-length makes going to the bathroom and dancing 100000x easier.

Hair and Makeup: Pony up with a vintage inspired pony (a la Kelly Osborne) or something slicked back and modern. Pair it with a dramatic eye to keep this dress more grown-up.

4. Belle of the Ball

Versions of this have been all over the ball scene for the past couple years, this style is elegant, and flattering on just about every body type.

Hair and Makeup: There's plenty of room to play here. Try an edgier look with this dress,  a faux-hawk like Julianne Hough's paired with a darker eye.

5. Bohemian Glam

Something a little different form the norm, an edgy little number that can easily be worn again in years to come.

Hair and Makeup: Keep the hair simple with tousled beach waves. For makeup, a marsala coloured lip and an understated smokey eye, with a hint of gold for a little more drama.
